I took was 14’8” from tack to outhaul. I want the new
sail a bit smaller – I would like the foot of the sail
to be 13’. Please see the attached picture to understand
the offset distance/angle of the tack ring from the
forward edge of the sail. The 13’ is to be the length
from the tack shackle on the boom to the clew ring. The
outhaul shackle is 18” aft of that. The boom length
is 15’ from the gooseneck to the topping lift shackle. 13.00ft NET |
