Sail Specifications





ZSPARS batten car system with 32 mm track.

Headboard Car: A=234 mm, B=47 mm, C=100 mm, D=105 mm (distance from back of track to centre of bottom pin.

Batten Car: A=140 mm, B=60 mm, C=80 mm, D=115 mm,  F= 12mm

Intermediate Car: A=140 mm, B=40 mm, D=35 mm,

12m thread for batten holders.

The batten holders go inside the batten pockets. The batten pockets run continuously from luff to leech. In the coming days I will send you the precise length of each batten.




Hi Michael,

My batten boxes are made by Incidences Sails. The boxes are 150 mm long, 60 mm wide and 30 mm high. The hole for the battens has a diameter of 20 mm. There are 4 screws on each side. The spacing between each screw is 35 mm.

My battens are round fibreglass. The batten diameter is 15 mm. I have attached several photographs. Please advise if you have any questions.

Batten holders insert into the Luff and Leech end of each batten pocket. Each batten box is 150mm long, 60mm wide and 30mm high. Each batten box is secured with 8 screws (4 on each side of the sail). The screws pass through the sail fabric and into the batten box. Batten boxes are made by Incidences sails. Please refer to pictures of batten boxes (sent in a previous email).

The sail battens are 15mm in diameter and have the following lengths:

Top Batten 235.5cm, top batten pocket: 244cm

2nd Batten 382cm, 2nd batten pocket: 389.5cm

3rd Batten 476.5cm, third batten pocket: 484cm

4th Batten 543cm, fourth batten pocket: 550.5cm


Bottom Batten: 595.5cm, Bottom batten pocket: 603 cm
